Our Story: How Jayden’s Joy Began

Jayden’s Joy began, as many meaningful things do, with a mother doing everything she could to protect her child.

When my son Jayden was just 10 months old, he was diagnosed with multiple severe food allergies—including wheat, dairy, eggs, corn, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, sesame, and even certain gums and preservatives. Finding safe food wasn’t just difficult—it was exhausting and often heartbreaking. Even many products labeled gluten‑free weren’t safe for him.

The reality of our journey came into sharp focus on Jayden’s first birthday. What was meant to be an allergen‑free cake caused an allergic reaction due to hidden corn derivatives. That moment changed everything.

With few safe options available, I decided to create them myself. With no formal baking background, I immersed myself in research—learning how to identify hidden allergens, source truly safe ingredients, and recreate familiar treats without compromise. What started as necessity slowly became something more.

Baking turned into a bonding experience. Jayden and I mixed, laughed, and experimented together. In the kitchen, food became joyful again—not scary. Those moments planted the seed for Jayden’s Joy: the belief that children with food allergies deserve the same simple pleasures as everyone else.

From Safe Sweets to Safe Spaces

Jayden’s Joy officially began in 2017 in my home kitchen and grew into a trusted presence at local farmers markets. As families shared their own stories, it became clear that the need extended beyond food.

My passion for children has always gone hand‑in‑hand with my passion for safety and inclusion. In 2023, Jayden’s Joy expanded into licensed childcare in Lake Elsinore, CA—offering eco‑friendly, allergen‑aware, and developmentally supportive care for infants and toddlers.

Our childcare program reflects the same values as our bakery: intention, transparency, inclusion, and trust. Parents deserve peace of mind knowing their children are cared for in spaces that prioritize health, emotional well‑being, and individuality.

Growing Into Literature & Advocacy

As Jayden grew, so did our mission. Jayden’s Joy now extends into children’s literature and advocacy—sharing stories that normalize food allergies, celebrate differences, and empower children to feel confident in who they are.

Through books, community education, and advocacy, we work to shift the narrative from limitation to possibility—helping families feel seen and supported.

Today

Jayden’s Joy is more than a brand. It’s a movement built on a mother’s love and the belief that all children deserve access, safety, and joy.

From safe sweets to nurturing childcare, from stories to advocacy, our promise remains the same:

Quality Care. Safe Sweets. Inclusive Spaces.

— One child, one family, and one joyful moment at a time.
